1. ABOUT THESE TERMS
These terms and conditions govern your use of www.tcgtavern.shop and any purchase you make from us. By placing an order or submitting a sell request, you agree to these terms in full. TCG Tavern is a UK-based sole trader selling Pokémon trading cards, sealed product, and accessories. These terms apply to online purchases made through our website only. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not place an order.

2. ELIGIBILITY
By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you have obtained permission from a parent or guardian. Purchases on our website form a legally binding contract under English law. We only ship within the United Kingdom. Orders placed with a delivery address outside the UK will not be fulfilled and will be refunded in full.

3. ORDERS AND PRICING
All prices are listed in GBP and are inclusive of any applicable VAT where required. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice, but the price shown at the time of your order is the price you will pay. Placing an order is an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order in the following circumstances: a product was listed at an incorrect price due to a genuine error; the item sold out before your order was processed; we are unable to verify payment; we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent activity. If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method.

4. CARD CONDITION DEFINITIONS
All single cards are graded by us before listing. We use the following condition standards:
- Near Mint (NM): No visible wear. Minor handling marks only visible under direct light. No scratches, creases, or edge wear.
- Lightly Played (LP): Minor edge wear or small surface scratches. Fully playable and presentable. No creases.
- Moderately Played (MP): Visible wear, light creasing, or scuffs. Structurally intact. Clearly described in the listing.
- Heavily Played (HP): Significant wear, creases, or marks. Will be clearly stated and priced accordingly.
Condition grading is subjective. If you believe a card arrived in a condition materially worse than listed, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos.

5. JAPANESE CARDS
Cards listed as "JP" or "Japanese" are printed in Japanese and are not English language versions of the card. Japanese cards are not tournament legal in most official English-format events. By purchasing a Japanese card you confirm you understand this. Japanese cards are not eligible for return on the basis of language. Where a card is listed as a Japanese Art Rare (JP AR), this refers to the Japanese exclusive art rare print variant sourced directly from Japan.

6. GRADED CARDS (PSA AND ACE)
We sell cards graded by ACE Grading and PSA. Grades are assigned by the grading company, not by TCG Tavern. We do not guarantee or warrant the grade awarded. ACE Grading and PSA use different grading scales and criteria — an ACE 9 is not equivalent to a PSA 9. Each listing clearly states which grading company issued the grade. We inspect all slabs for case integrity before dispatch. If a slab arrives with a cracked or damaged case, contact us within 48 hours with photos. Graded slabs cannot be returned on the basis of disagreement with the grade awarded. We are not liable for damage caused by the buyer attempting to crack open the slab.

7. DEALS AND BULK LOTS
Bulk and deal listings are sold as seen and are not eligible for returns. These listings may contain cards of mixed condition. Returns are not accepted on bulk or deal purchases unless the item was materially misdescribed.

8. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Full details of our shipping rates, processing times, and packaging are on our Shipping & Returns page. Once an order has been dispatched and a tracking number issued, we are not liable for delays caused by the carrier. If a tracked item is shown as delivered but not received, contact us and we will raise an investigation with the carrier before any refund is issued.

9. RETURNS AND REFUNDS
You have the right to return most items within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Singles are not eligible for return once dispatched. Sealed product must be returned in original untampered factory shrink-wrap. Bulk and deal lots are not eligible for return. Graded slabs are not returnable on the basis of grade disagreement. If an item arrives damaged or is materially different from its listing, contact admin@tcgtavern.shop within 48 hours with your order number and photos.

10. SELL TO US
Submitting a collection via our form is a request for appraisal only, not a guaranteed offer. The final offer may differ if physical condition does not match what was submitted. You must be the legal owner of any cards you submit. We do not knowingly purchase stolen or counterfeit cards. Once you accept a quote and ship your cards, we will inspect them on arrival. If condition differs materially, we reserve the right to revise or withdraw the offer. If a revised offer is not accepted, we will return your cards at our cost. Payment is issued after inspection. We do not pay in advance of receiving the cards.

11. AUTHENTICITY
All cards sold by TCG Tavern are genuine Pokémon TCG products. We do not knowingly sell counterfeit, fake, or proxy cards. If you believe a card you received is not authentic, contact us immediately with photos.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
We are not liable for any loss in card value following your purchase. The Pokémon TCG market is volatile and prices fluctuate. Our liability in connection with any order is limited to the value of that order. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

13. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your order is the version that applies to that order.
